Qualmark is the New Zealand Tourism Industry Association sign of quality. Ancient Kauri Kingdom undergoes a rigorous site inspection each year to certify industry compliance and delivery of the highest customer service standards to tourists. Most importantly this is a certification of trust, integrity and quality.
Northland Sustainable Tourism Charter
Ancient Kauri Kingdom is an environmentally friendly business. No trees are felled as we only extract buried Ancient Kauri from beneath the ground. After we have carefully removed the buried Ancient Kauri we restore and re-grass the farmland returning it in a better and more productive condition then before we arrived.
We joined the Northland Sustainable Tourism Charter in December 2005 to demonstrate our proactive commitment to eco-friendliness and community initiatives. The charter objectives are to enhance the natural, cultural, social and economic environments of Northland, whilst maintaining a successful tourism industry.
